Ever since my husband bought me a DSLR for my birthday, I've been wanting a camera strap cover (or camera blanket, as Riley has been calling it today). After perusing Etsy and finding some absolutely adorable covers that cost a little bit more than I wanted to spend, I decided to save the money I would have used on a cover for my 50 mm lens. Definitely the better choice.
While the kids were napping today, I started checking out camera strap cover tutorials on some of my favorite blogs (like Skip to My Lou). I ended up using this tutorial from Skip to My Lou and this one from Nursery Rhymes and Sweet Times. I used scraps I had on hand from other projects, so I didn't have to spend a dime on this project. Add that to the fact that it took under and hour to make and it was a win win situation. My camera looks much more cheerful and I'm hopeful that it will help attract the attention of distracted little eyes.
